So the series Gone that Danny stars in with Chris North and Leven Rambin has yet to air in the U.S, but is currently airing on the Universal Channel ( http://www.universalchannel.com.au/ ) in Australia. Here is a bit more about the series and a promo for the show.

Gone follows ‘Kick’ Lanigan (Leven Rambin), the survivor of a well-known child abduction case who joins a special task force formed by the FBI agent (Chris Noth) who rescued her. Determined never to fall victim again and now a young woman, Kick has trained herself in martial arts and the use of firearms. She finds her calling when Novak persuades her to join a special task force he created with the backing and resources of the FBI, dedicated to solving abductions and missing person’s cases. Paired with former Army intelligence officer John Bishop (Danny Pino), along with other team members, Agent Kennedy (Tracie Thoms) and James Finley (Andy Mientus), the team work to solve cases and bring victims home.

CHRIS NOTH – Frank Novak
The ideal “Bureau man,” forms a small unit, specialising in abduction and missing persons cases, he has carefully selected his team on the basis of their unique skills and abilities. With little connection to his real family, Frank has always seen his work colleagues as his family. When it comes to Kick, Frank shows a softer side as she is a victim he rescued and a colleague.

DANNY PINO – John Bishop
A former Army Intelligence man, part of the military in Afganistan, John Bishop is now part of Frank’s special FBI task force. We soon learn that there may be a specific reason why Frank has chosen Bishop to be a part of this team – and that may be linked to his own past.

LEVEN RAMBIN – Kick Lanigan
The survivor of an infamous abduction case, Kick isw now a self-defence instructor who has spent the last 15 years putting her past behind her. Keeping all her cards close to her chest, Kick rarely reveals her emotions. She is smart, formidable, and funny, often sarcastically so. When Frank shows up at Kick’s door and asks her to embark on a mission to help track down a young missing girl, she is faced with the decision to leave the past in the past, or use her traumatic experience to save the lives of others.

Law & Order: SVU‘s Danny Pino is aligning himself with another acronymic television franchise, joining FX’s Sons of Anarchy spinoff Mayans MC as one of the leads, TVLine has learned exclusively.

As TVLine reported back in July, the original Mayans MC pilot, which was shot last winter, was scrapped for creative reasons. Norberto Barba (The Bridge, Preacher, The Path) was brought in direct a new pilot from a script by Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter and filmmaker Elgin James. Several parts will be recast and a handful of new roles will be added — Pino’s being one of them (and Michael Irby‘s Bishop being another). Battlestar Galactica‘s Edward James Olmos and Revolution‘s JD Pardo, both of whom appeared in original pilot, will be sticking around for Take Two.

Pino’s character, Miguel Galinda, is the son of Galindo Cartel founder, Jose Galindo. With wit, charm and an Ivy League education, he navigates both sides of the border as effortlessly as he juggles his professional and family life. Having mastered success in both legitimate enterprises as well as the family business. (Mayans MC takes place after the events of the Sons of Anarchy finale.)

The Mayans gig marks a reunion for Pino and EP Sutter, both of whom cut their TV teeth on FX’s The Shield (the former as a recurring guest star and the latter as a writer). Pino’s extensive TV resume also includes series-regular stints on the CBS dramas Cold Case and, more recently, BrainDead, as well as arcs on ABC’s Scandal, USA Network’s Burn Notice and NBC’s Chicago P.D.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Cold Case alum Danny Pino is set as a lead opposite Chris Noth and Leven Rambin in Gone, a 12-episode procedural drama series for NBCUniversal International Studios, Germany’s RTL and France’s TF1. The series, which eyes a launch in winter 2017-18, was created by Matt Lopez (The Sorcerer’s Apprentice) based on Chelsea Cain’s novel One Kick.

Gone tells the fictional story of Kit “Kick” Lannigan (Rambin), survivor of a famous child-abduction case, and Frank Booth (Noth), the FBI agent who rescued her. Determined never to fall victim again, Kick trains in martial arts and the use of firearms. She finds her calling when Booth persuades her to join a special task force he created dedicated to solving abductions and missing persons cases. Paired with former Army intelligence officer John Bishop (Pino), Kick brings her unique understanding of the mind of a predator. Bishop is initially skeptical about bringing Kick onto the team, but over the course of the season, he will come to appreciate her unique skill-set and they will become a formidable crime-solving duo.

Gone is executive produced by Lopez, NBCU International Studios’ EVP Scripted Programming JoAnn Alfano, former Dexter executive producer Sara Colleton, along with Kim Moses and Barry O’Brien.

Pino most recently starred opposite Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Tony Shalhoub in CBS’ critically praised series Braindead. He previously played Detective Nick Amaro on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit for multiple seasons, and starred for seven seasons as Detective Scotty Valens on Cold Case. He also recurred on ABC’s Scandal. Pino is repped by ICM Partners and GEF Entertainment.
